Headaches

There are several types of headaches and the exact cause can be complex, causing throbbing pain that is hard to ignore because the head controls the whole body.
The presence of recurring headaches is not normal. Sometimes this symptom is due to an underlying problem, and medication such as aspirin or ibuprofen can mask the symptoms. However, they do little to correct the problem. The headaches will continue to return as long as the problem persists.
Cervical vertebrae problems are the cause of vertebrogenic headaches, which can affect the back, sides, or the front of the head or neck. Changes to the cervical spine’s normal curve caused by trauma, degenerative arthritis, or poor posture may cause chronic irritation of the nerve roots between the vertebrae.
Pain is the body’s way of alerting us that something is wrong. It is unwise to ignore these signals and treat only the symptoms. Often, the onset of pain is acute, accompanied by muscle contractions in the neck that can often trigger tension headaches.
Using their experience, chiropractors can determine whether the headaches result from a physical or structural problem and remedy it. They can identify the cause of your headache and provide relief to your pain. Misaligned vertebrae can usually be realigned to return them to their normal position. Relaxation exercises and lifestyle changes may also be suggested to avoid further headaches. Chiropractic offers a natural and safe method of relieving and preventing headaches.
